As we have learned though the series the Ships of Melencolia, much nautical information is disclosed in this composition.  :et’s look at an area of the print that we have not looked at for a long time to see more of the amazing encoded clues hidden in plain sight that all other researchers have missed:

The very strange shoe on the Melencolia figure, her left foot

This enlarged image is the left shoe peeking out from below the skirts on the Melencolia. Doesn’t the fact that the heel of the shoe appears to be open appear weird?  It makes the Melencolia appear poverty-stricken, as if this figure can’t even afford to have proper shoes with finished heels?  Why would this “shoe”  be depicted in this way?

THE SEASHELL OF MELENCOLIA

The reason that this “shoe” appears so weird is that it is NOT a shoe, it’s a SEASHELL. And it’s this seashell. tipped upwards:

The shell (foot) is also on line with the other foot, making it look like her whole leg is lifted or is resting on something. It stands out a mile when looking at the whole image.
